Summary

Ye et al. (2006, PMID:16987076) report that the level of CD226 expression on humans T cells, T Helper cells, cytotoxic T cells and NK cells of HIV patients as well as the level of soluble CD226 in the plasma of patients was significantly higher than that of normal controls. They assume that CD226 may be involved in the immune response to HIV infection.
